I know Marko loves when I do these and I really do strive to hit on a lot of these goals through out the year.
Here's 2007's goals:
QUOTE
* 75,000 Members by Jan 1, 2008
* 150 New Members/day
* 8 New Tutorials a Week
* 12 New Code Snippets a Week
* 5 New Resources a Week
* 800,000 Page Views/mo
* 500,000 Unique Visitors/mo
* 400 Posts/day
And a look at how we actually did:
~63,500 Members by Jan 1, 2008
~200 New Members/day (3 month average)
~3 Tutorials/week
~8 Snippets/week
Resources~1,000,000 Page Views/mo
~450,000 Unique Visitors/mo
~350 Posts/day
So for 2008, I'll set some more goals, but I'm gonna add a few more and explain why in a second:
~135,000 members
~250 New Members/day (by end of year)
~5 New Tutorials/week
~15 New Snippets/week
~1,250,000 Page Views/month
~600,000 Unique Visitors/month
~450 Posts/day
Now for the new ones:
2.5 Average Page Views
2:40 Average Time on Site
68% Bounce Rate
26% Return Rate
The last ones aren't nearly as interesting to you guys, but to me it's a user experience thing. I want to find a balance between ads and design so people want to stick around and come back more often. That is going to be my focus in 2008, improving overall user experience.
