IF THIS SCREEN APPEARS AGAIN, FOLLOW THESE STEPS: CHECK TO MAKE SURE ANY NEW HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE IS PROPERLY INSTALLED. IF THIS IS A NEW INSTALLATION, ASK YOUR HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE MANUFACTURER FOR ANY WINDOWS UPDATES YOU MUGHT NEED. IF PROBLEMS CONTINUE, DISABLE OR REMOVE ANY NEWLY INSTALLED HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE. DISABLE BIOS MEMORY OPTIONS SUCH AS CACHING OR SHAWDOWING. IF YOU NEED TO USE SAFE MODE TO REMOVE OR DISABLE COMPONENTS, RESTART YOUR COMPUTER, PRESS F8 TO SELECT ADVANCED STARTUP OPTIONS, AND THEN SELECT SAFE MODE. TECHNICAL INFORMATION: *****stop:0x0000000A (0x00000029, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x804DA6DB) Try to fix w/above information, but no luck. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated, thank you. (WOULD LIKE TO RESTORE LIKE NEW, BUT DON'T HOW TO.....HELP!!!!!
From what I remember, stop errors usually mean that windows encountered an error when trying to address (or communicate) with hardware. The OS suddenly stopped in an effort to prevent possible damage to the device (hence the sudden BSOD). The fix I performed on a Gateway (yada yada) Laptop was to repair the registry.
You may also want to double check all of your connections, the wireless card, the hard drive, Memory... if this device is a laptop, was it dropped?
If neither of those tips work, I'd suggest reinstalling from the recovery disks, like lockdown previously suggested.
I TRIED THIS ON MY LAPTOP AND WAS ABLE TO USE LAPTOP FOR ONE DAY AND NOW IT WENT BACK TO THE SAME BLUE SCREEN INFORMATION MENTIONED ABOVE. CAN I RESTORE LAPTOP LIKE THE FIRST DAY I RECIVED IT. I KNOW THERE IS A WAY BUT I HAVE NO CLUE ON HOW TO DO IT. PLEASE SEND INFO IF POSSIBLE. THANK U
Use the recovery disks that came with it to completely wipe the OS and reinstall the entire operating system. If it's blue-screening after that, then send it back to Dell, as it's most likely a hardware problem.
Also, please don't yell. It makes people less likely to help you and makes you seem like an obnoxious child.
The IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL message is usually, but not always tied to a bad driver. Try updating your video/sound card drivers, and uninstall any Roxio software you might have.
just go to dell.com and they will send a cd if you dont have it...and then before reinstalling the windows xp or whatever you have use the diagnostic cd they send and check what is wrong it might just be a driver like someone said...if you use the reinstall cd you will have to install the drivers anyway...which takes some time...(or at least thats what happened with my computer...) another option is get into it in safe mode and install the drivers...
