how do you have it set up?
is it so one HD has XP and the other has Vista.
or do you have the boot stuff set up on the same HD?

I have only done dual boot with windows and linix so im not realy sure of the setup but i think those are the options.

You can fix it by removing Vista tongue.gif I finally got rid of it on my multi-boot system, I couldn't stand it. That might change in time, but for now I avoid Vista like the plague crazy.gif

I have avoided Vista since its arrival, it reminds me of Windows ME. Would have been best for all, had it never been released. smile.gif

Help!!!

I have dual booting in my machine (Xp and vista). Vista was accidentally corrupt and I did a recovery for it. Everything works fine until the point where I need to select which operating system I want to boot in. I get the options Vista and ‘previous version of windows’ which is actually the Xp, vista loads fine but XP will not load.

Please help!

Thanks a lot

Mayra

do you think that when you did the recovery, what you needed to recover were some boot files that you overwrote on XP and now you can't boot because of that. My advice would be to back up your XP stuff while on vista and just reinstall XP carefully and correctly
