Are there any ways to update my MacBook Pro's Ruby version? I currently have the 1.8.0 version and I can't download the 1.9.0 one, probably because I am using my university's connection and they are blocking it (don't know why though). Apart from that, is the update important? I mean, I am just on my firest steps (know the basics) with Ruby, do I need the newest version?

Its always good to use the latest version, and from the sounds of it you may have to wait until you're at home to download it due to your schools firewall settings, as we wont help you get past that here smile.gif

No, that wasn't my intention, I am just wondering if there are any other sites with it or if someone could upload it somewhere else or any other solution... smile.gif

Have you tried using Google to see if it was available anywhere other than the site you tried to initially donwload it from?
