E - TextEditor and Ruby/Rails, Has anyone tried?

Hello, everyone!
Surfing around the Net, looking for a (possible) alternative to the Java based IDEs/editors, I've found E - TextEditor (http://www.e-texteditor.com/). It's supposed to be TextMate for Windows :-) Has anyone tried it (it's fully functional for 30 days)? I am not sure if the editor's worth installing since it's using cygwin - heard stories of cygwin messing up the systems.

Just testing now the latest version, very good app.
Some of the good features 'stolen' from TextMate, the same themes and snippets.

There's free alternative called Intype, but it is alpha and still developing.

Did you have to install a lot of cygwin modules in order for E to work?

I've used e a bit, and really like it. I never did install the cygwin stuff, but e was 80% functional without it.

I've been using e-texteditor quite alot when I used windows.
In some cases the bundles won't execute and in that case you need to find
what module is missin in cygwin and add it. Not too hard to do.
But that's only a few bundles that I've experienced problem with.

In some cases I see e-texteditor superior to textmate and when I work on my mac I miss
some of e-texteditors features.

I did two small blog entries comparing textmate and e-texteditor if you have used textmate or seen someone use it before

Wgaffa, I am developing in Visual Studio 2008 EE, but when I do use E-texteditor, I never have any problems with bundles.
