I'm curious what the average salary is for desktop app programmers, and web app programmers.

This is an anonymous survey, so your name won't be associated with your vote.

I realize there are many factors, but I'm looking for an average.

Feel free to share and discuss titles, education, and how it relates to the salaries in your industry.

I voted on this because I thought the results would be interesting.

Most magazine salary surveys seem to be BS. I was once in an Oracle class where the instructor put a number in board and said according to Oracle Corp DBAs can expect this salary There was a moment of silence as we all looked at each other. Then an uncertain laugher, "yeah, right, everyone knows those numbers sell classes and certs." wink2.gif

As Lead and "Director of IT" (funny title for a company with 11 employees LOL) I make above the average salary (I'm one of the ones that scew(sp) salary averages/surveys). I currently make a shade over $98,500 a year (hey remember, Ive been doing this a long time) and am responsible for all coding decisions, all hardware decisions and am also the lead developer

I make $33k/year currently, not including bonuses(or taxes sad.gif) - but I don't have any education or certifications to speak of.
