The past several months I've asked for articles for our newsletter. Now we're taking it a step further. With a new newsletter, new email server, and new software... we're ready to take the DIC newsletter to the next level.
If you're interested in writing articles for the Dream.In.Code newsletter, and want to get paid for it, please submit your 500-800 word article to this thread as a .HTML file (basic font/color formatting and links only please).
If we publish your article in the monthly newsletter, we'll pay you $25 per published article (PayPal).
Remember, we're looking for insightful, educational, controversial, or current and relevant news and topics.
Right now I've got 2 spots in each newsletter for articles.
The new newsletter will be going out sometime this week. It'll be in HTML so you can use some basic code snippets if you'd like. You can also embed links in to your article.
The total width of the newsletter is 500 pixels, so keep that in mind as you assemble your articles.
Would it be over the top if I were to ask if it's possible to get you to offer an HTML template we can use for our articles? That would ensure that when you go through the articles they are all formatted the same, same width, height, etc. If you can provide me with the specs you'd prefer I can work on creating one if you like?
It's not to much to ask, but there's not really much of a "template" to even be had. It's just several 500px wide tables with VERY basic formatting (font size, color, face).
The table is 500pixels wide and the font is verdana, size "small". I'm going to literally copy/paste what's on your .html file and paste it in to the newsletter inside the 500px table.
I got an idea for an article I think Ill write. I'm so tired of all the C# is better than VB.NET/ VB.NET is better than C# arguments lol, so I think Ill write about it.
Negative. Just didn't get around to doing it earlier because of infrastructure issues. Couldn't even send it because it was gonna kill the server for the entire day.
Had to regroup and find new ways of sending to 80,000 subscribers.
If you want to put yours together in so I can copy/paste it right in to the newsletter, then I'll use it (if not this time, then the next time). Depends what everyone else submits and the timeliness of the info.
