Was doing some Googling and I came upon someone's thesis paper on programming realtime soft shadows.

It's 118 pages long in PDF form. I've only gotten to chapter 2, but so far it's pretty interesting and I recommend it to anyone interested in this sort of thing. smile.gif

Amazing, Acknex only does that the pre-compiled way where it does realistic lighting.
