Hey guys,

My sister got her Rebel xsi camera a week ago, and she was playing around with taking some test shots. All of her photos seem to have a strange color banding issue that I couldn't seem to look up on a quick google search. Any ideas?

Her memory card was a kodak 4 gig SDHC card... could it be a problem with the card itself, or the camera?

She took ome test shots on my 512mb card and it worked fine.. so she exchanged the memory card and it now is happening sorta less. Is this just two bad memory cards in a row or the camera?

Thanks!

Here's an example

Did you shoot in JPEG or RAW? If you're getting this problem in JPEG, your camera processor might be doing funny stuff. Try taking some pictures in RAW and see if the missing colors artifacts make an appearance. If it's the same in RAW, it might be the sensor, or a connection from sensor, to processor, to memory card.

This "shouldn't" be happening, so best plan would be to return the camera, or send it in for warranty repair.
