I have a script that requires arguments, the first one is a username and the second one is the password...is it possible to have the password formatted in the standard *** format as it is typed in, I would think not, am I correct?

Anything is possible, but your lookin @ a ton of work. As its being passed as an argument, its the shell you'd have to hack.

Are you using a GUI interface for your program? Like Tk or something similar? Might be something already written for that.
