Is there anyone who can give me advice on a JAVA problem I seem to have. I have a main class that extends JFrame and when I build the JFrame, it works beautifully. However, I'd like to build a JFrame on the object that the main object calls, but when I code all the parameters and complie and run, there is nothing. the JOptionPane works fine, but a JFrame to list all the elements in the sub object would be nice. And I cannot get the main JFrame object to hide itself after the GUI selection is made.

I have attached the Main Method and the object that needs frames

Can anyone give some advice?

My main advice would be for you to show us what you have written up so we can see how you are creating your JFrames and showing them. It is hard to see what you are doing wrong without actually seeing what you are doing.

It would be a great help. Thanks. smile.gif

You forgot to actually attach the code, you just quoted me. Perhaps you can add that code and we can get to helping you out. smile.gif

We will not answer your questions by e-mail.
 1. Open your code in a text editor
 2. Select all relevant code
 3. Press CTRL-C (should work on most operating systems)
 4. Go back to the forums
 5. Type
6. Press CTRL-V
 7. Type
8. Give a description of the errors or problems you are encountering
 9. Pray to whatever God or Science your worship that I'm not the one answering, or pray that I have a good mood when I do
