I recently created a Linux wallpaper and a friend of mine likes the font i used. The problem is a created each character with paths.
I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to make fonts with GIMP. Google has been useless in this (that ACTUALLY shocks me).

Any ideas?
Thanks everyone.

I have never heard of you being able to do it in gimp or similar program (i.e. photoshop) . I've used standalone programs in the past to do it, i think it was fontographer, but there are better ones out there now I assume.

You can take your vectors from gimp or whatever and import it into these programs, but as far as I know can't go straight from gimp to final font.

let me know if you find something though that would be interesting.
