I am interested in knowing how a barcode reader input is taken to the system. Is it possible to get barcode reader input in a web form???

i don't know exactly what you mean... but there are services out there that take a picture of a upc code and then analyze it...

like a diet website where you take a snapshot of a upc with your cellphone and upload it later and the website figures out what your eating etc...

Most barcodes (well the old cue cats) were serial ports.. just take the data in and off you go. For example, this MSDN post explains most barcode tools have their own SDK.. so go the manufacture's website and you might get lucky.
