Hai,
I am using Windows XP2; my system is connected through LAN (8 computers) and i have shared some drives(like D: and E:) which can be accessed through all systems connected by LAN. But my question is can this be unshared for particular system (i.e for some systems i want to share my files and not for some sysetms). Please help in this regard

Thanks
masipro

Off the top of my head I know that you can limit the amount of nodes that can connect to the share. However on a simple workgroup I don't believe that you have that level of permissions. You would need to be on a Domain (again, I think) to perform that sort of security.

The only way you can get that granularity would be to provide the other users with a username and password.

When a user attempts to connect to that shared drive they are prompted with a username and password box. If the username does not have permissions to access the resource they are denied.
