David R. Martin, an assistant professor at Boston College, has created a REALLY cool page showing how different sorting algorithms work on different sets of data. It's a great way to see how the sort actually occurs, as well as which sorts are faster.

Cool! Nice to see them in action like that.

I actually did one of these as a presentation in college. Looked rather similar, actually. Hey, wait a minute... nm, the guy was maybe three then.

Probably not similar at all; there isn't a whole lot of data on a 320x200 display. I think I just had a Turbo Pascal flash back. tongue.gif

Doesn't this stuff come in one of the samples that come with java sdk? I think i've seen it in the samples. Cool though.

There a good one for RiscOS that uses video memory, it'll take the current screen and sort it.
