hence why google are losing some of their work force to *gasp* Microsoft. because at least with M$ you might be allowed to call something finished.

I don't particularly care of something is "finished", because no software should ever really be "finished". There are constantly going to be fixes and improvements. If Google wants to let their software be in a never ending state of Beta, fuck it. They may be in their fourth year of beta but their software is reliable and helps me coordinate my business. Microsoft may call something finished, but does it ever really work?

But seriously, software is an ongoing process, but it brings a sense of accomplishment and work satisfaction to say you completed, accomplished, or finished something. Even if it will continue to have patches and the like.
