Hello,
I am interested in developing a set of standard interface classes similar to the standard template library.

One of the areas I belive this have great benefit is with preipheral interfaces or "lower half" device drivers.

For example a version of the "stream" interface could be used for serial ports, sockets, usb endpoints,
pipes, etc.

Imagine standard classes for serial ports, dma, timers, network, task scheduling, interprocssor communications, etc.

Note I envision a seperate interfaces for the data path and a seperate interface for the control path in many cases.

I would like to hear your thoughts.
