I don't have any code to post really, since I didn't use actionscript. I do have a link to my work and I have the files available for anyone that would like to use them.

My issue here is that I used the presentation API (I guess) to make this powerpoint-like slide presentation for the intarwebs as a project.

I got all of the slides down to specs (nothing impressive, I assure you), but the navigation from one slide to another is wonky. I tried to get them to go by themselves, but that ended up being an exercise in frustration.

if i could set this to auto, then the timing of each slide would be approximately two to four seconds per slide before transitioning

This being said, I also thought about making buttons that switch from one slide to the next, but I don't know how to make that work.

As such, what I would like to know how to either add buttons to switch slides OR how to make the slides transition by themselves. Auto-transition would be preferred.

This is a good time to read the "Learning ActionScript 2.0" or "Programming ActionScript 3.0" sections of the Help documentation. You'll need to write some ActionScript to make your navigation work. And as simple as the code is (It'd be quicker than typing this response), it's still against the rules for anyone to give you code without you attempting it first. Sorry. cry2.gif

I'll give you a hint though. For on-click navigation, you'll need to learn about onRelease, and also gotoAndStop or gotoAndPlay. For timed navigation, you'll need to look into setInterval and clearInterval, or setTimer (if using AS3). Whichever approach you choose, you'll need to be familiar with stop, and at least have a basic understanding of ActionScript (read the Help documentation).
