I'm having a task in which a form contains text box ,drop down list etc while selecting delete button we should display a confirm message box with yes/no and if yes the records should be deleted from the grid but it should be in the sql database marked as deleted with the datas in the database is it possible

Yes, it is possible. Depending on what you want things to look like (page reloading or not) you may want to look into using Ajax for some server side communication.

The confirmation can easily be done with Javascript.
