Today I found a new search engine called Cuil and it's a new search engine with some nice features:
1) This isn't really a feature but it finds webpages differently and takes a bit of time to get use to.

2) The webpages displayed are displayed with several lines of text from the page along with a image beside it that gives it a distinctive look and is very useful.

3) Instead of having a fixed page list (e.g 1|2|3|4|5|6 Last page) at the bottom of the page that you have to scroll down to, the page list is always at bottm of the browser page.

4) It has (by default) a 2 by 3 column layout.

5) If there are related links that are commonly used, there is a drop-down menu at the side of the page that has these related links.

Cuil is at www.cuil.com and I highly recommend that you try it biggrin.gif

Cuil was announced a while ago with the proclamation of having some absurd number of pages indexed, and finding more relevant search results than google. It then proceeded to back those claims by going down and having the whole site crash when people came to try it.

After it came back it, it proved that it provides pretty horible results for a lot of searches. And I'm not talking about obscure edge case searches.

Distinctive look aside, it has proven pretty useless when I tried it, and apparently I'm not alone in that.

Ye, I see what you mean, but I do think that google may be better with one or two of its features.

It's clean & quick... however I really don't like the way it just "throws" images on the results.

If I want to see bs images, I'll check w/ Wikipedia.

Seems ok, but I still prefer Google because I don't like getting information rammed into my face when I can skim through it at my own leisure (the beauty of google).

I can't seriously see me changing search engines within the next five years.

EDIT: Dream Theater is an awesome band an all, but it is completely irrelivant to "dream in code".

The images do slow it down quite a bit when it's loading the page.
