Converting Access DB TO SQL or Oracle

New D.I.C Head Joined: 25 Apr, 2007 Posts: 48 My Contributions	I'm a total newbie with SQL and ORACLE. I have an access DB that I want to convert to SQL or Oracle. Can someone point me in the right direction? Tutorials for total beginners?

D.I.C Head Joined: 23 Sep, 2008 Posts: 205 Thanked: 15 times My Contributions	Make a DSN that conencts to your SQl/Oracle database and use the Access export Wizard. That should do the trick

using DIC.Core; Joined: 26 Jul, 2007 Posts: 8,983 Thanked: 125 times Dream Kudos: 8625 Expert In: VB, VB.Net, C#, SQL, ASP, ASP.Net, Web Development, HTML, CSS, Win32 API, Javascript, mySQL, J#, Boo.Net My Contributions	For SQL 2005 you can use SQL Server Migration Assistant for Access to upsize your Access database to a SQL 2005 database. Other versions of SQL have a handy tool called the Import/Export Wizard that will allow you to do this. From your SQL client tool (either Enterprise Manager for SQL Server 2000, or SQL Server Management Studio for 2005), right click the database that you want to add the data to and choose Import Data. Select your Access file as a data source, and you can map one or more (or all) tables into the SQL database.
