Hi there,

I am working on a new forum site that is integrated into and already existing website but I need help on what I need to do to transfer all of the original forum information to the new one. Including all of the posts and so forth. Can someone help me please?

What forum software are you currently using? and what were you using before?

Depending on the forums there may be a way to simply change a few settings and everythign works all of a sudden.

I have figured out what I need to do here, but I was wondering about something else. I am using PHPBB3 and I would like to know that if there is a way for someone to program a back door into the laguage in order to access the site and information even though they are not authorized? If so what do I need to look at in the code to make sure this doesnt happen?

Yes, it is possible, but I would say it is unlikely that the creators of PHPBB would do something like that.

Basically what you need to look for is any hard coded passwords/usernames or any instances in which a password/username and login wouldn't be required to view a specific page/ section of the site.
