Buying text based game or template, Textbased

Hey, i'm wanting to buy a text based game or template. I was wondering if any one here is good enough to make one for around $100/£50. It's either going to be a Fantasy text based game or a gangster one. Ill give more detail for any one interested.

An entire game for £50? I'd recommend adding 2 zeros on to that.

Are you wanting a complete solution or just the functionality (the game class and a library so you can code the game construct yourself)? Do you have the game scope completed? (Game text, point structure, layout of functionality, database architecture etc?)

I'd recomend going into request a service and ask for someone to help you build it - if it's simple then it won't take you long.

Chances are you won't get anything near what you're looking for for what you're offering - the typical 'small' text-based game runs anywhere from $500 and up for source code.

Okay, the only reason i was asking at that price i becuase i believe people sell templates for $100, but if you say they cost more i may add the two zero's on. Do any of know any links which can help me learn the basic php scripts for text based web designing? *That would be a great help*

Well, there is a big difference between templates and web-based games. Templates are much cheaper than web-based games because they don't provide intellectual effort. You just need some imagination and a good knowledge of Photoshop, HTML and CSS.

For web-based games you will need to know and a programming language (PHP or C++ or...I don`t know), which automatically implicates programming and programming implicates intellectual effort and that's what makes them more expensive than webtemplates.

Maybe this link and the most important search on Google "Learn text based game" and see what you can find helpful.

What are you going for? A web text game? A console application?

Any specific language?

I could write up an engine for a console application for Windows in C++, but it would cost a little more than the specified price~
